Third Party Property Damage

You back into a parked car. A truck clips a fence. A reversing van takes out a letterbox. It's rarely serious, but it can add up quickly.

Third party property damage insurance covers the cost of damage you cause to other people's vehicles or property. It doesn't cover damage to your own vehicle.

Case study

An example

A delivery van reverses into a parked luxury car and causes $12,000 in damage. Third party property damage cover pays the other driver's repair bill. The van's own damage isn't covered unless the policy goes further.

Illustrative example only. Cover depends on your policy wording.
