Liquor Liability Insurance

If you sell or serve alcohol, you carry a different level of risk. A patron who drinks too much and has an accident afterwards, or hurts someone, may lead to a claim against the venue that served them.

Liquor liability insurance covers legal liability that arises from the sale, supply or service of alcohol.

Case study

An example

A restaurant keeps serving a guest who is visibly intoxicated. He leaves, drives and injures a pedestrian. The pedestrian makes a claim naming the restaurant. If the policy includes liquor liability and the venue followed its conditions, the policy may respond to legal costs and any liability.
